Why good puzzles don't rely on luck
There's a whole category of puzzle games that look thoughtful but are really just random shuffles hoping you'll keep tapping. We can usually spot them within a level or two, and Tile Tactics is a good example of the opposite.
A well-made puzzle gives you all the information up front. The board is fixed, your moves are yours, and a loss is a lesson rather than bad luck. That's what makes replaying a level feel productive instead of frustrating.
When you're browsing the store, look for the word 'levels' rather than 'endless'. Designed levels usually mean someone sat down and built a real challenge, not a machine that spits out tiles forever.
Offline is a bonus here: fixed puzzles don't need servers, so the best of them travel with you anywhere.
