Iron Frontier

Iron Frontier takes the sprawling 4X formula and trims it down to something that fits a phone screen and a lunch break. You settle a region, manage a handful of resources, and fend off rival factions run by a genuinely tricky AI. Matches wrap up in under an hour, which is rare and welcome.

The interface is the star here. Everything you need is one tap away, and the tech tree is readable without squinting. We lost a few early games badly, then something clicked and the systems opened up beautifully.

Best of all it's a full offline experience against bots. No servers, no waiting for other players, no timers pushing you to check back in.
