A week with Big Bass Splash

A week with Big Bass Splash

August 24, 2026 · Markus Feldmann

I didn't expect Big Bass Splash to stick. I downloaded it as a test title, played one session, and then somehow kept opening it every evening for a week. There's something oddly meditative about picking a spot, choosing bait and waiting for the line to twitch.

The reeling mini-game is where it earns its keep. You have to balance tension against the fish pulling away, and getting a big catch after a long fight genuinely feels good. Early on I snapped a lot of lines by yanking too hard; the game quietly teaches you patience.

My one practical tip: spend your early unlocks on lures before better rods. The right lure changes which fish even show up, and that made the mid-game far more interesting for me. Matching bait to conditions turned into the part I enjoyed most.

Best of all it ran perfectly in airplane mode on an old test phone. No prompts, no lag, no nonsense. If you want a calm offline game to unwind with, Big Bass Splash is an easy recommendation.
